What inspired your vision for your wedding day? Do you have a theme or color palette (I use this to bring stuff for shooting details!) How do you envision your ideal wedding day?
The overall theme is modern romantic. The venue inspired our wedding theme. I loved how blank and open it was. I wanted it to remain clean and modern looking. We are mostly doing grays and whites with some blues
How did you meet?
I came to visit my brother, Hays, at WVU in 2010 and Hays introduced us at his college apartment. We all played apples to apples that night. Clarke wouldn’t stop making fun of the cards I chose (my humor).
Tell me about the proposal!
Clarke made me a chest for Christmas. He filled it with small cards that had reasons he loves me, funny moments between us, favorites moments, and exciting things to come. One day, a new card was propped in front of the chest. I opened it and it asked, “Will you marry me?” When I turned around he was on one knee! I love how he incorporated the chest into the proposal. He planned asking me that way all along. I love how much thought and time he put into asking me.
What was your favorite part of wedding planning?
I hated wedding planning! Lol. I’m so go-with-the-flow, I felt overwhelmed with it. (Photographers note- Bethany hired the amazinggggg Day of Pittsburgh to help do some wedding planning and I’m sure both Bethany and I would agree- best choice ever! Wedding planners are MAGIC) One thing I did get excited about is planning the ceremony look because I could imagine myself and Clarke saying our vows to each other, and it would calm me.
