How did you meet?
Since high school, Adam and Sam were always in the same group of friends, but never dated. Adam even visited Virginia Tech and stayed at Sam’s apartment, but it wasn’t their time just yet. Fast forward to a decade later when Sam and her sister Libby were living in Hilton Head. In October of 2016, Hurricane Matthew was headed towards the island, so Sam and Libby evacuated to Pittsburgh. Adam saw on Facebook that Sam was home and took this as an opportunity to reach out and sent her a text asking her to catch up over drinks. Sam did not respond…yet. Many weeks passed and Sam was back in Hilton Head, and after a few too many drinks, decided to respond to Adam’s texts. Adam replied immediately and by the end of the night, Adam had booked a flight down to Hilton Head for two weeks later. The rest, they say, is history!
Tell me about the proposal!
Adam knows how much I love Christmas, so we started a tradition of going down to PPG to see the tree around Thanksgiving time. On Wednesday, November 21st 2018, he told me we were going down to see the tree and then eat dinner downtown. Once we got to the tree, Adam proposed! He had 2 of our friends there to take pictures of the entire event. I wanted to call my mom right away, but Adam said to wait. He had both of our families waiting for us at dinner at a restaurant nearby.

Checking out all of the different venues and envisioning our wedding!
What inspired your vision for your wedding day? Do you have a theme or color palette? How do you envision your ideal wedding day?
I wanted our wedding to be elegant, romantic, and classic. My colors are black, gold, and very light pink, with some white. I envision our wedding day to be one I never forget!
